Who were these people, what was their world like, and why were they so interested in same-sex love?

8 million people. Emily in Paris was viewed 58 millions times in 28 days. Why did this series go viral? Emily in Paris represents the quintessence of the Paris effect. And what is the Paris effect? It’s the way Paris turns any female visitor into a Parisienne : better dressed, more poised, sexier, more loveable. You don’t believe me? Why not ? It happened to Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face and Sabrina. It happened also to Mrs Maisel, the natural comedian from Manhattan. And in real life it happened to Jackie Kennedy and many American women who have written best sellers telling you how Paris can change your life. Walk in the footsteps of Emily—and these other women—in the City of Light, and discover the power of Paris!

Speaker Bio

A Parisian native,A Parisian native, Edith de Belleville was an attorney at law for many, many years, but her passion for Paris and its history led her back to university (at the age of 50) to get her official tour guide license. Deeply inspired by Parisian women of the past, Edith decided to write a book, in French, entitled The Beautiful Rebels of Paris (Belles et Rebelles, Editions Erik Bonnier). Edith also teaches Jewish heritage in Paris at University Gustave Eiffel (Marne la Vallée), and has just finished a book in English about the fabulous life of a mature Parisian woman in the City of Light. was an attorney at law for many, many years, but her passion for Paris and its history led her back to university (at the age of 50) to get her official tour guide license.
