We start our tour smack dab in the middle of The Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. From there we hit the streets to dig up the dirt on decades of closeted stars, underground pansy bars and gay rights battle scars. From the initial footfalls of LA’s 1stGay PRIDE march to the secret tunnels that lie underneath the Walk of Fame.

You’ll see things like: the hair salon that created Judy Garland’s look for the The Wizard of OZ, the nightclub where Joan Crawford got her start entering weekly contests as a dancer to win money so she could eat that week! You’ll learn where the term “PRIDE” came from and what it actually means. We’ll tell you what The Church of Scientology is really hiding in it’s basement, show you RuPaul’s fabulous art deco offices and so much more. From Hollywood’s first boys-only porn theatre to the gay bar where the Black Dahlia sipped her last libation - The Lavender Effect® will show you Hollywood like no one has ever dared!
