See the Highline in a totally different way with the spring cutback which exposes a lot of what is covered during the summer. This is not a tour for tourists but for people who live in and around NY or who are new to the area who want to learn more about the city they live in and the amazing things they are surrounded by every day! The Highline is New York's most popular attraction! The Highline is an elevated freight train trestle that operated in NYC from the 1930's to the 1980's. After years of neglect The Friends of The Highline have saved the structure and transformed it into a beautiful park featuring many of the elements from its' rich history! Your tour guide will share the history of the highline and the surrounding neighborhoods and show you amazing photos from before the trestle was built, while it was in operation and what it looked like while abandoned. Following the tour the group will go out for food and drinks.
