OTHER VIEWS - The purple wildflower is called Fireweed, called so because it is one of the first plants to sprout after a fire.   It is a semi sad plant as it marks the end of summer.   It first blossoms in mid summer, and then grows.  When it reaches full length (almost 2 feet) the first snow is soon to follow.  I loved them!  So beautiful!.
